Panesar has joined Sussex on a three-year contract

The Guernsey Cricket Board hopes to get England bowler Monty Panesar on the island following his move to Sussex.

The island has strong links with the county, who have signed Panesar on a three-year deal.

GCB chief executive Mark Latter said: "It would be excellent to get Monty across to work with some of our spinners.

"We get great access to the guys in terms of specific bowling coaching, wicket keeping, batting et cetera."
