Anthony Kay bowls to Gibraltar's Mark Bacarese |
Jersey beat Gibraltar by seven wickets to make it three straight wins in their ICC European Division Two campaign. Jersey put Gibraltar into bat and restricted them to 153-8 off their 50 overs at the KGV, with Ryan Driver bowling four consecutive maidens. Openers Peter Gough and Ian Crocker made a solid start to the Caesareans' reply as they reached their target in 36 overs for the loss of three wickets. The win left them second in the table, trailing Guernsey only on net run rate. The two islands, who both have six points, are due to meet on Saturday in what is likely to be a decider.
