Newly-promoted Croatia lost to Gibraltar by five runs

Gibraltar beat newly-promoted Croatia by only five runs in a last-over thriller in the ICC European Division Two Championships at the KGV.

The Croatians won the toss, chose to field and bowled Gibraltar out for 157 off 41 overs.

Croatia looked on course for victory, but late Gibraltan breakthroughs left them needing six runs from three balls to win with one wicket in hand.

Gibraltar promptly took that wicket to seal their first win of the tournament.

On day one both sides lost to Channel Island sides, with Gibraltar losing by seven wickets to hosts Guernsey and Jersey claiming a six-wicket win over Croatia.
