Jersey finished bottom of Group B in the European Under-17 Division One Cricket Championships when they lost to The Netherlands by seven wickets.

Jersey batted first in Wednesday's match and notched up 168-9 in their allotted 50 overs, with Ben De Figueiredo top-scoring on 33.

In reply Netherlands reached 169-3 with more than 10 overs to spare.

It was the second defeat of the Championship for the island team, who will now play-off for fifth place.

It is the first time a Jersey cricket team has played in Europe's top division.
