Danny Hall took five wickets in Albrighton's win over Madeley as they continue to chase down Shropshire League leaders Reman Services. Madeley were restricted to 123-8 from 35 overs, Hall taking 5-23, while Dinesh de Silva hit 37. In reply, Steve Carrie (53) steered Albrighton to a three-wicket win, despite Andy Pugh taking six wickets for Madeley. Reman also won a rain-affected 35-over game against Shelton. Reman batted first, knocking up 199-7 thanks to half centuries from John Wigley (67) and Dom Bradburn (53), Shelton's Andy Wigglington taking 5-62. In reply, Shelton were shot out for 121, Chris Speake (3-36) and Mal Serplet (3-47) bowling Reman to victory. The mid-table clash between Bomere Heath and Welshpool ended up as a draw. Bomere batted first, making 208-4 off their 25 overs, Hafiz Khalid Mahmood top-scoring with 59, backed by 50 from Ian Gillespie. Welshpool's Rob Birch then batted through the innings for 60 not out as Welshpool finished on 154-6, Hafiz rounding off a good day to earn his team's winning draw with 4-51. In the only other game to be played, Ludlow reached 121-8 off 25 overs, Rob Lockley (68 not out) scoring over half their runs. But that was enough for a winning draw as bottom club Much Wenlock, still without a win, limped to 87-7.
