Pakistan enjoy batting practice
Tour match, Auckland, day three (stumps)
Pakistan 318 & 201-5 draw with Auckland 222

Pakistan took advantage of the good conditions to get some much-needed batting practice as their tour match against Auckland ended in a draw.

Pakistan finished on 201-5 after bowling Auckland out for 222. Pakistan had scored 318 in their first innings.

Yousuf Youhana bounced back from his first-innings duck with 67.

But he was dropped by wicketkeeper Reece Young before he had scored and had another life on 22 when Mark Richardson spilled him at mid-wicket.

Also enjoying valuable batting time was captain Inzamam-ul-Haq, who was run out for 18 in the first innings but scored an imperious 62 second time around.

Earlier, Pakistan wrist spinner Danish Kaneria returned figures of five for 70.

The first Test against New Zealand starts on Friday in Hamilton.
