Kitchen will fight in front of the King of Thailand in December
Penzance thai boxer Julie Kitchen has won an eighth ISKA world title after beating American Natalie Fuz on Sunday.
Kitchen was awarded the win at home with a unanimous decision from the judges after the full five rounds.
The Cornish star said that despite being lighter than her opponent, she was able to dominate the fight.
"I've fought her twice, so I knew she was a tough cookie and didn't expect to finish her but I did catch her with some lovely shots," she said.
Later in the year, Kitchen is returning to Thailand where she won her sixth world title in April.
Kitchen has been invited back to Thailand to defend the title on the King's Birthday (4 December, 2009) to fight in front of the King of Thailand.
Kitchen told BBC Radio Cornwall: "They were so impressed with me that they've asked me to fight on the King's birthday which is the biggest thing you can do in thai boxing."
