Arthur recovered from a mid-fight lull to finish strongly
Scotland's Alex Arthur retained his IBF Intercontinental super-featherweight title after he stopped Eric Odumasi in the sixth round in Edinburgh.

Arthur knocked Odumasi to the canvas in the first round but the Ghanaian staged an impressive recovery.

Odumasi had Arthur on the back foot for the next few rounds before the Scot regained his composure in the fifth.

The 26-year-old again knocked Odumasi down before the referee stopped the fight at the end of the sixth.

"I'm a technical boxer with punch power - now I'm showing what I can really do," said Arthur.

The victory brings Arthur a step closer to a possible rematch with British super-featherweight champion Michael Gomez.

Arthur suffered his only professional defeat to Gomez last year.
