Katie Astin will compete alongside her sisters

Three Manx sisters will compete at the European Cross Country Trials in Liverpool on Saturday.

Gemma, Sarah and Katie Astin are taking part in the event which is being held at Sefton Park.

The event incorporates the British trials for the European Cross Country Championships in Portugal next month.

All three sisters hope to finish in the top half of the their races but say their main aim is to gain experience in a high class event.

Gemma and Sarah have competed there for the last five years and Katie for two years.

Junior women: Gemma Astin

Under-17 women: Sarah Astin

Under-17 men: Oliver Lockley

Under-13 girls: Katie Astin

Under-13 boys: Conor Davies
