The Channel Islands men's athletics team will be aiming to secure promotion on home turf on Saturday. The 25-strong team are currently second in Division Four of the British Athletics League behind Glasgow City, with the top two gaining promotion. The meet, which is the last of the current season, is being held at Footes Lane in Guernsey. Over 100 athletes are expected to attend the crunch match which starts at 1130 BST. Channel Island athletics coach Andrew Winnie said: "This will be a real test for our young squad and will very likely produce many great performances and personal bests. This is why we are members of the British League."
