 GB's swimming's golden couple have been at the top of their fields for many years and go to the Games as defending Paralympic champions. Since Athens, they have relocated from Manchester to Hereford to link up again with former coach Emma Patrick but the success shows no sign of halting. Kindred, at his fourth Games, will aim for his third consecutive titles in the SM6 200m individual medley and SB7 100m breaststroke. Although there have been suggestions the gap over his rivals is closing on the breaststroke, Kindred still has the skill to get that big swim and indeed, he broke the IM record twice at the British Championships earlier this year. Lewis, in her third Games, will defend her S6 100m backstroke title and will also bid for an all-British clean sweep in the SM6 200m individual medley where she lines up against team-mates Natalie Jones and Eleanor Simmonds. Simmonds will also be a rival in the 400m freestyle, where she set a world record earlier this year. Lewis also goes in the 100m breaststroke.
