At 20 Danielle Brown is already a world champion and is the youngest member of GB's 12-strong archery team. The Yorkshire woman, who is studying law at the University of Leicester, took up the sport five years ago and within three years had made the national squad. She suffers from a condition called RSD - reflex sympathetic dystrophy, which results in constant, chronic pain in her feet and she shoots propped on a stool so the weight is off her feet. At last year's World Championships in Korea, she set several world records on her way to winning gold in the individual open compound event. Brown then linked up with Pippa Britton and Mel Clarke (fourth and fifth in the individual competition) to win team gold and will hope to keep up that form in Beijing.
