Paralympic challengers: Dave Roberts

Welsh swimming wizard Dave Roberts has a chance to become Britain's most successful Paralympian of all time.

Roberts won four golds in Athens and three in Sydney in 2000 and in Beijing he could pass fellow Welsh star Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson's mark of 11 Paralympic golds.

Roberts, a big Cardiff City fan, is going for a hat-trick of wins in the S7 50m and 100m freestyle events, and will face a tough challenge from team-mate Matt Walker.

He will also compete in the 400m freestyle - an event in which he clocked his fastest-ever time at the Paralympic trials earlier this year. He could also be in some of GB's four relay squads.

Awarded an MBE in 2005, Roberts is also a huge rugby fan, but says the most famous number in his mobile phone is world championship boxer Joe Calzaghe.
