Young pretenders GB has plenty of promising male players, with Gavin Evans breathing down the neck of Knight and Drinkhall in the rankings. The 14-year-old wins six out of nine games and finishes third. Liam Pitchford (left) from Chesterfield is another star to look out for. He is ranked England's second best cadet and, although he only wins twice in Sheffield, performance director Steen Hansen has nothing but praise. Reflecting on the tournament, Hansen says: "A huge positive to come out of the weekend is Liam. He fights for every point and is a fine example to us all."
