Continental Europe has some players in fine form and one of its number could be a good bet to end the 20-year drought since Seve Ballesteros won the Open. The last European major winner to come from outside of Britain or Ireland was Spain's Jose Maria Olazabal, who won the Masters in 1999. But Spaniard Miguel Angel Jimenez, Swede Robert Karlsson, Germany's Martin Kaymer and Dane Soren Hansen are in rude health. Jimenez has won twice this year and leads the Order of Merit, Karlsson has had eight top 10s, Hansen has had five and Kaymer is on his way to a first Ryder Cup cap with two victories under his belt.
