Sorenstam wins her second title of the year

The Swede was a massive 17 shots under par after carding a one-under final round of 71.

Scotland's Mhairi McKay, three shots behind Sorenstam, settled for second place while South Korea's Mi-Hyun Kim was third on 12 under.

Sorenstam birdied the first hole to immediately open up a four-stroke cushion over playing partner McKay who had dropped a shot.

The lead grew to seven shots when the world number one rolled home a 16-foot birdie putt at the 11th and a tap-in birdie at the 14th.

But Sorenstam closed with consecutive bogeys which, though they did not affect her title chances, caused the world number one to worry about her focus ahead of next week's LPGA Championship.

"I think I am striking the ball very well right now," Sorenstam said.

"So the question is, are all the pieces together? Will they be there when I need them to be?"

McKay, runner-up for the second year running, does not think the 32-year-old needs to worry about her form approaching the second major of the year.

"She's just a very classy player and the number one player in the world," McKay said.

"I just had the feeling that even if I had put in a couple of birdies, she had something more left in the tank."
