Sorenstam is 16-under-par after two rounds |
Annika Sorenstam will take a two-shot lead heading into the final round of the Kellogg-Keebler Classic. Sorenstam followed her course record of 62 with a six-under-par 66 to lead Scotland's Mhairi McKay. McKay fired the best round of the day, 64, at the Stonebridge Country Club.
Rosie Jones, who matched Sorenstam's opening round, faded with a 71 to lie five shots behind Sorenstam. "This is a course where you can go low," said Sorenstam, who will be seeking her 44th career victory on Sunday.
"Tomorrow I'm just going to go out and play the best I can. If I can be aggressive on one hole, I will be. It's a matter of how many birdies I can make tomorrow."
McKay birdied three of the first eight holes, carded her lone bogey at the par-5 ninth and sunk five birdies on the back nine.
It was the best round of the season for McKay.
