A staggering collapse from Bangladesh saw them slump to defeat in Jamaica as West Indies won by an innings and 99 runs soon after lunch on day four.
The series goes to the West Indies, who win it 1-0 after a draw in St Lucia.
The Tigers had moved comfortably to 154-3 before remarkably losing their last seven wickets for 22 runs.
Left-arm seamer Pedro Collins claimed career-best figures of 6-53 while Habibul Bashar was Bangladesh's leading light, hitting a defiant 77.
Bashar's partnership with Manjural Islam Rana was worth 120 and the two looked quite untoubled when Rana played a cut shot at an Omari Banks delivery that bounced a little bit extra.
The ball was caught by a relieved Brian Lara - the West Indies captain had threatened to resign if his team had not won the match.
Bashar was then immediately lbw to Collins and a procession of Bangladeshi batsmen were then out, all miscuing drives to be out caught, save for Mohammad Rafique, who was bowled by a ball that kept low.
The final wicket came shortly after lunch, when Mohammad Ashraful drove Sarwan to Lara at midwicket.
