Enzo Calzaghe has been in son Joe's corner since previous trainer Paul Williams retired when Joe was 18.

However, Joe has admitted that the father and son team came close to splitting up in 2001 following a series of lacklustre fights.

But Joe was unable to go through with the separation and Enzo has been in his corner for every one of his pro encounters.

Joe once said: "We argue and fight sometimes but he's my dad, ain't he? He is a great trainer and he doesn't always get the respect that he deserves."
