Stevenage have won 11 of their 29 league games so far this season
Tuesday's League One game between Stevenage and Barnsley has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch at the Lamex Stadium.
The match was called off just 75 minutes before the schedule 19:45 GMT kick-off.
Boro were hoping to close a seven-point gap to the play-off places, while Barnsley were looking to bounce back from Saturday's 3-2 defeat at Bolton Wanderers.
"The ball is not bouncing in both boxes. It's annoying for us because we want to get a game, get playing again but we now have to find another date for this fixture," boss Alex Revell told BBC Three Counties Radio.
"Games are the best way of building momentum and gaining confidence. The group was ready play so that's really frustrating. But it can't be helped, the deluge of rain was quite intense and the pitch has taken the brunt of that."
Stevenage are next in action at home to Huddersfield Town in a 12:30 kick-off on Saturday, with the Tykes facing AFC Wimbledon at Oakwell.
