Shaun Donnellan's second goal of the season put Truro City ahead

Truro City clinched their first National League win on the road by beating relegation rivals Morecambe 2-1 at Mazuma Mobile Stadium.

The Tinners, promoted to the fifth tier for the first time last season, won their first away game at the 15th attempt thanks to goals from Shaun Donnellan and Tyler Harvey.

Luke Jephcott set up Donnellan inside the six‑yard box for the defender to stab home his second of the season to put City in front in the 34th minute.

John Askey's side doubled their lead in first-half stoppage time when Connor Riley-Lowe's corner was flicked in at the far post by Harvey.

Gwion Edwards pulled one back for Morecambe early in the second half with a fine strike from outside the box, but Truro held for a first away win in 293 days to leapfrog Morecambe in the bottom three.
