Aldershot Town's National League match at home to Southend United on Wednesday night has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

The match referee carried out a pitch inspection before the game and deemed the pitch to be unplayable due to a sudden late-afternoon downpour.

The clubs said a new fixture date and ticket information would be announced in due course.

Southend are eighth in the National League table, a point outside the play-off places, while Aldershot are 18th but have won their past three matches.
