Few changes

Have changed from 'moans of the day' to 'island life'. Not sure why think I just felt like a change. This happens quite often. Except usually its just the furniture that gets changed around or something. Thats also good for seeing the look of absolute confusion on hubbys face. Especially if its the kitchen thats been changed about a bit. Then it takes him longer to make his much needed caffenine fix as I (cruely) have a wee giggle to myself watching his frustration!!

Wish it was that easy to change my name in real life. I just really hope our kids like the names we have given them. We did put quite a lot of thought into them and the wee mans has a double meaning. They are not well out there names or anything like that we don't have any Apples or Inspektors or anything like that, although I did quite fancy Atticus for a boy but no-one seemed to agree with me! Maybe just as well really.

Well just wanted to let any of you that might be intersted of the change! Hope you are all well and happy :)

Yeah "Moans of The Day" could put some readers off visting your posts, but Island life is good, as long as you write/type about island Life as YOU see it. Interesting, I like changing things about too, not the furniture though, I'm not that brave/foolish, but the bits'n'bobs that Herself calls Ornaments, huh, yeah, Dust Gatherers more like, so I've taken over your moans of the day, sorry about that, Cheery..

Guess I am a traditionalist: children should be named after family or friends (or godparents). In extremis, there is always the Bible, probably the Old Testament.

There will be at least once while the child grows up that they will hate their name and hate you for picking it. It usually happens after another child has figured out a way to make fun of your child's name. Well that's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it.

Atticus as in Finch? Wish we'd thought of that...but am pretty sure babybipeds would disagree, having been unexcitingly named after family members...darn! I'm agreeing with mjc...*gurrr*

Flying Cat from To Kill a Mockingbird

To mjc's list could I add the old victorian tradition. In the days of large families it seems names ran out so numbers came into play; such as Septimus (7) and Octave (8). I can only assume that Una was a first girl after multitudinous boys.

Hyper-Borean from Behind the counter

Was that that posh bint, Una Paloma-Blanca?

Flying Cat from just asking like...
