The worlds getting smaller

Thanks for previous comments I did not expect that many -yes your right it's linked to a dell computer. Sticking with the weather it's almost like summer today. I took the dog for a walk to a hill above Sandwick. It was so clear you could see the island of Foula (which looks a bit black and foreboding in the distance). It's great to get outside for walks again.

The dog got fed up near the top and headed back to the car so I still have not got to see the place where a Mosquito crashed. Must have been some size of bug to have named a hilltop after it.

The view from my window is great today the ferry has just left for Aberdeen and is sailing in flat calm waters for once. The sky is clear and light as we head toward the 24 hours of daylight in the summer.

My family have left for the mainland and Norway so I'm getting on with the exciting things in life like painting the hall -great fun!

I just been trying to practice the "House of the Rising Sun" on the guitar, the dogs gone to sleep, think it's trying to tell me something.

Foula seen from the West Side. One of the worlds great views. Do you think it does resemble a girl sleeping?

Hyper-Borean from Nostalgia

we have a sleeping lady too, here on Lewis, behind the callanish standing stones ... :-)

soaplady from office, avoiding sleep ...

Why's it always a woman? Is the world soo full of desperate men? Oh wait, I forgot the Old Man of Hoy. A fine natural erection. Probably named by a man....

Flying Cat from stacking up

What have I started! When you look across to the island of Bressay the south end looks like the face of an old man (sun and cloud permitting). He's lying down probably thinking of the Old Man of Hoy

Whatever next!

Flying Cat from a civil partnership

I think Noss looks like a squashed jam sandwich (or a slice of cake).

Muness from Fetlar

Wow! Must be some good acid going around!

Sandy the Goodlad from Muddy Bay

With a smattering of snow Ward Hill on Hoy looks like a tonsured head. I hope it's grass, acid's too heavy for a cat.

Flying Cat from The Bongs

Just thought id let everbody know that my daily checks of measuring my back garden has me arriving to the conclusion that the world is not getting smaller...Hooray you say, so now sleep easy in your beds

Sandy the Goodlad from Muddy Bay

there's an easy way to settle all this controversy. sleeping girl - jam sandwich - old man - show me a photo! not sure I believe ANY of you. But Ronas Hill, with a sprinkling of snow, is like a nicely baked cake...

scallowawife from lookin oot da window

Just a mo Scallowawife. The last person to think Ronas Hill looked like a piece of cake ended up as one of Coastie World's customers.

Hyper-Borean from Victoria Sandwich

On the subject of bonny views, I never tired of the views from the road southwards from above Levenwick on a fine day: the whole of the South End with the Fair Isle beyond, magic.

Hyper-Borean from Da Røst

It is if you can actually see it for the mince rolling in from the sea.

Flying Cat from just been there
