If you put sad dell together you get a place in Kintyre. Which I think should be regarded as an island - it certainly feels like one by the time you get down to the end.

According to legend Kintyre was a de jure island in viking times. Some king suggested to some jarl that he could have every piece of land he could get round in his ship. Smart jarl had himself dragged from West Loch Tarbet to East Loch Tarbet overland whilst sitting at the helm of his dragon ship. Bingo Isle of Kintyre!
