Cat house article The Templetonian 1963. Company's unusual order Happy outcome for all - including the cat. The following - quite unsolicited - letter was recently included in the company's morning mail:- Dear sirs Please send me Templeten carpet winsor red 11" x 9" yours faithfully Stephen Nutley. 26 kenwood drive Shrewbury. Templeten carpets are best. It is for my little cat I have made her a house. XXX The order referred to was regarded as one of priority status and, in sending the requested carpet, the managing director, Mr I.W. Lawson, stated that "while we have many big orders in the past- yours is the smallest we have received so far." Here is Stephen's reply. Dear Mr Lawson thank you very much for my nice red carpet for my cats house. She had an accident and she stayed in it till she was better so the carpet made it very cosy. Daddy said you do not send carpets to little boys so thay were rong. We have a new templeten carpet in our siting room thank you very much love from Stephen xxxx.
