Oz is joined by Professor Roger Scruton and Andrew visits Victoria Bowes at her wine cellar in Corsham, Wiltshire. Jancis talks about the shiraz/syrah red grape variety.
Week Three - Oz is joined in the studio by Professor Roger Scruton , wine connoisseur and leading philosopher, whose paper The Philosophy of Wine challenged many oenologists at a London conference last year. They will be discussing the relationship between wine and philosophy and will taste Madiran Cuvee Charles de Batz from Domaine Berthoumieu and a cheaper wine, Lo Tengo Malbec from Argentina. Andrew visits the Octavian underground cellar in Corsham, Wiltshire with Victoria Bowes. Jancis Robinson offers a potted guide to the shiraz/syrah grape variety and Angela Mount, wine trading manager for Somerfield supermarket, discusses her buying policies. The tasting section of the programme offers listeners a chance to submit their own tasting notes and questions via email and text - details on this week's wine can be found on the "Taste This" section of this site.
Join us as Oz and Andrew guide listeners through the world of wine and invite them to share their wine stories and oenological experiences.
