The History Boys Francine Stock talks to the star and also to the director of The History Boys, the film adaptation of Alan Bennett’s hit play about a group of grammar school boys trying to get into Oxbridge. Richard Griffiths talks about the challenges of bringing his role as the inspirational teacher Hector to the big screen, and director Nicholas Hytner explains why his favourite films are intimate rather than spectacular.

Man Push Cart Ramin Bahrani, director of Man Push Cart, talks about his touching tale of a self-employed caterer in downtown Manhattan. He explains his fascination with the lot of New York's pushcart owners, and why he never says "cut" or "action".
Man Push Cart (15) is out now.
The Pervert's Guide to Cinema The philosopher, psychoanalyst and film fan Slavoj Zizek has made a documentary which explores the relationship between cinema and human desire. Francine talks to him about what films tell us about ourselves.
