On The Film Programme this week:

And the director Stephen Frears tells Francine about the difficulties of fairly portraying the Royal Family in such traumatic circumstances.
The Queen (12A) is out now.
Spike Lee Francine is joined by writer and actor Kwame Kwei-Armah to discuss the work of the American filmmaker Spike Lee. As four of the films that made his reputation are released on DVD, he talks about the influence of this sometimes controversial figure.
The Spike Lee box set is out on September 18th.
Leslie Caron The French actress Leslie Caron recalls her starring role with Fred Astaire in the 1955 musical Daddy Long Legs. She also looks back on a still-thriving screen career, which has brought two Oscar nominations and more than sixty films.
Daddy Long Legs is part of the Essential Musicals box set, out on September 18th.
Tom Cruise Francine is joined by Iain Johnstone, author of a new biography of Tom Cruise, to discuss the career of perhaps Hollywood's most bankable name. Last year Cruise was widely ridiculed for the public nature of his relationship with Katie Holmes, and for his espousal of Scientology - but will it harm his career?
