Film Club: Bullitt
Francine Stock and a specially invited audience discuss the classic American thriller 'Bullitt' with the film's British director Peter Yates. The 1968 film starred Steve McQueen in one of his most memorable roles as Lt. Frank Bullitt. Peter Yates describes working with McQueen and the story behind the famous car chase shot on location in San Francisco.
The programme was recorded as part of The London Film Festival at the National Film Theatre on London's South Bank.
'Bullitt', certificate 15, is available now on DVD from Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc.
'The Essential Steve McQueen' DVD boxset, including the films 'Bullitt', 'The Cincinnati Kid', 'The Getaway', 'Never So Few' and 'Tom Horn' will be released on 6 February 2006.
