Francine Stock talks to Joss Whedon, the creator of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' about his new film. 'Serenity' is the film-version of Whedon's short lived TV series 'Firefly', which became a cult hit on DVD. The film follows a team of well-meaning space pirates caught up in a galactic war.
'Serenity', certificate 15, is released in cinemas on 30 September 2005.

Writer Ali Smith discusses Jacques Demy's 1964 French film 'The Umbrellas of Cherbourg'. The film is about lost youth and the love between 20 year-old Guy, played by Nino Castelnuovo and 17 year-old Genevieve, an early role for the young Catherine Deneuve.
'The Umbrellas of Cherbourg', certificate U, and two other Jacques Demy films 'Donkey Skin' and 'A Slightly Pregnant Man' will be released on DVD on 10 October 2005.
