Francine Stock talks to Penelope Cruz. The Spanish actress made her name in European art house films, such as Pedro Almodóvar's All About My Mother and has become a big star in Hollywood appearing in Vanilla Sky with Tom Cruise and the forthcoming action extravaganza Sahara. In new film Don't Move she plays against type as a young, near destitute woman who becomes the unhealthy obsession of a respectable married surgeon.

Romper Stomper
Film critic Mark Kermode discusses the controversial 1992 Australian film Romper Stomper. The film depicts a gang of skinhead thugs fuelled by hatred for the Vietnamese immigrants who are moving into local business. The gang leader is played by a young Russell Crowe who at the time was tipped to be the next Mel Gibson.

Star Wars
Francine Stock talks to Star Wars model-maker Freddy Pearl who crafted the Dewback for George Lucas. The Dewbacks, giant lizards were used as beasts of burden by Darth Vader's sandtroopers in the desert region of Tattoine.
The only known model of a Dewback head outside the Lucasfilm archive will be sold at Bonhams Auctioneers in London on 27 April 2005.
An Inspector Calls
Film historian Matthew Sweet examines Alastair Sim's performance as the mysterious inspector in the 1954 black and white feature An Inspector Calls. In the thriller, based on JB Priestley's play, an inspector arrives at the house of a wealthy industrialist claiming to be investigating the death of a girl who has taken poison.
An Inspector Calls, certificate PG, is released on DVD 4 April 2005.
