Francine Stock talks to Australian actress Cate Blanchett, who is Oscar nominated this year for her role as Katharine Hepburn in The Aviator. Her other roles include Elizabeth I, a Scottish spy, an Irish journalist, a Russian dancer and an elf queen. In her new film Wes Anderson's The Life Aquatic she plays Jane, a journalist following the work of oceanographer/documentary-maker Steve Zissou, played by Bill Murray. She boards Zissou's ship the Belafonte on its latest Jacques Cousteau-like adventure.
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, certificate 15, is released in London's West End from 18 February and nationwide on 25 February.

Hotel Rwanda
Francine Stock talks to Paul Rusesabagina, whose heroism during the Rwandan 1994 genocide provides the basis for the Oscar-nominated film Hotel Rwanda. He sheltered more than a thousand people inside a hotel he was managing. We find out about the making of the film with its director Terry George and actor Don Cheadle who plays Paul in the movie.
Hotel Rwanda, certificate 15, is released in cinemas on 25 February.
