Chris Hollins

Winner of the seventh series in 2009

Chris Hollins and his partner Ola Jordan were the winners of series seven of Strictly Come Dancing. The news presenter beat actor Ricky Whittle and his partner Natalie Lowe in the final.

We never thought we'd be watching him on Strictly. We were nervous because we'd never seen him dance.

Although Ricky was consistently awarded higher marks throughout the series, Chris matched him in the final by receiving the highest score for two dance routines. Remarkably Chris managed to avoid the dreaded ‘dance-off’ during the entire run of the show.

Whist appearing in Strictly, Chris was also presenting the sports news on BBC Breakfast. Since then, Chris has presented Cash in the Attic, Watchdog and Food Inspectors.
