‘We get to write any story we want to write’ - Alicia Keys removes the make up
And we love her for it.
Alicia came in to Annie's show to play her party tracks and talk being comfortable and connected to herself
When Annie mentioned Alicia not wearing make up in her video for 'In Common, Alicia said "It's what we're shown all the time and it's all good - make up is totally cool, it's not some bad thing or anything"
As women we are so powerful, we're so strong and we get to write whatever story we wanna write.
"I just promised myself that I was going to be really conscious about being connected to myself and not putting up all these walls and veils and not putting on the armour every time I go outside. And I started to feel like I was just getting dressed up all the time and not necessarily being full, truly myself.
"As women we are so powerful, we're so strong and we get to write whatever story we wanna write. And we also get to rewrite any story that might have been put upon us. We don't necessarily have to follow the status quo or what people tell us to do, cus we can break the rules, there are no rules.
