Take It To The Bridge

BBC Music Day will be hosting unique musical collaborations on over forty bridges across the UK and Channel Islands – from large iconic structures like Tower Bridge in London and the Tees Transporter Bridge in Middlesbrough, to smaller, quirkier crossings such as Bishop Bridge in Norwich and Tadcaster Bridge in Yorkshire.

There will be performances from BBC Music Introducing acts and local community groups and choirs. BBC Local Radio stations will be broadcasting live from the bridges throughout the day. Find out below what is happening near you.

Take It To The Bridge - Scotland
Pipers will play on the Union Chain Bridge linking England to Scotland.
Take It To The Bridge - North East England
Bridges in Newcastle and Middlesbrough with music from the 1910s onward.
Take It To The Bridge - North West England
Take It To The Bridge will include the Mersey Ferry and other live performances.
Take It To The Bridge - Yorkshire
Hull, Sheffield and Tadcaster are taking part in Take It To The Bridge.
Take It To The Bridge - Wales
The Severn Bridge, linking Wales to England will be part of Take It To The Bridge
Take It To The Bridge - Midlands
Bridges in the Midlands are taking part in Take It To The Bridge.
Take It To The Bridge - East Anglia
Hip hop and opera performances will take place on bridges in East Anglia.
Take It To The Bridge - South East
Tower Bridge will feature a performance from Jack Savoretti.
