For the Love of Flyering

How it feels to get flyered for your own show

Stephen K. Amos gives us some of his worst flyer experiences

Thanks to Stephen K. Amos (who you can see at Gilded Balloon & The Stand) for letting us know some of the ways to fail flyering at the Edinburgh Fringe.

For too long have the flyerers been looked down upon, a menace, an eye sore or just plain annoying. But the Edinburgh Fringe would not be what it is today without them. This is a tip of the hat to all who flyer, may you stay strong and flyer on. Here are our top tips on how to make your mark...

Wear something bright

Hi-vis and a poster on a stick? Genius.

Back of the Bus can be seen at Assembly George Square Gardens (Venue 3) 16:30 & 18:15 Aug 20-21, 23-28

Put up posters, put them up high

Flyer near a venue, even better if the show is there too.

Be memorable

Family Values are at theSpace on the Mile (Venue 39) 19:15 Aug 20, 22-27

Why hand a flyer over when you can mime a flyer?

The Vaudevillains are appearing at the Assembly George Square Gardens (Venue 3) 22:10 Aug 20-28

Make people smile and have a laugh

But the best advice, stand out and give away bananas

Partial Nudity are performing at ZOO (Venue 124) 19:55 Aug 20-27
