The Biggest Weekend UK Fringe

What is the The Biggest Weekend UK Fringe?
..the BBC is holding a 10-day Fringe across the UK starting on Friday 18th May 2018
To celebrate BBC Music’s Biggest Weekend coming to four cities in four nations, the BBC is holding a 10-day Fringe across the UK starting on Friday 18th May 2018. We will shortly be announcing the BBC produced Fringe events happening in each of the 4 host cities, but we want as many local and independent venues to also programme and curate live music under The Biggest Weekend Fringe umbrella, celebrating music scenes across the UK and sharing our passion and enthusiasm for new and emerging music.
The Biggest Weekend Fringe is open to any UK music venue, promoter or organiser to get involved and should reflect the UK’s diverse music scenes and genres, from indie to grime, and DJs to spoken word. All events taking place will be able to use The Biggest Weekend Fringe branding and shall be listed as an official BBC Fringe event on our pages with Skiddle, our listing and/or ticketing provider. We will be using our channels at the BBC on both national and local radio to inform our audiences about The Biggest Weekend Fringe, providing a comprehensive programme of live music across the UK.
