The missing coin
As the discovery of unlogged evidence emerged - found in the street by the pool where Oliver is believed to have been abducted - Julien, Tony and Emily desperately attempted to find out the identity of the coin and why it was concealed by Khalid Ziane, a local gendarme previously involved in the Oliver Hughes case.
Before Khalid could reveal what he knew, he was murdered in prison, leaving all remaining hope in the hands of journalist Malik Suri, to whom Khalid had been leaking information.
Mark Walsh obtained the financial records of private forensic firm Evitt-Reed Associates, details of which revealed that Malik Suri had submitted an item for analysis around the time of Oliver Hughes’ disappearance. With no way out, Malik turned over an envelope containing a small coin.
Upon revealing the coin to Julien, Tony, Emily and Laurence, Tony immediately identified its owner as Alain Deloix, the owner of Hotel L'Eden. Back at the hotel it is confirmed that the missing coin completes Alain's set of twelve sobriety coins - one for every year was was sober.
Take a closer look at the coin that helped to uncover the truth about Oliver's disappearance.
