El Mansour Dam

One of the two epic challenges that made up the Prized Apart final took place on the side of the El Mansour Eddahbi Dam (known as El Mansour), just outside the southern city of Ouarzazate.

The colossal dam is nearly 700 feet wide and over 200 feet high. With the river at its highest, it holds back a staggering 500 million cubic metres of water – imagine 2.5 billion of your average household bathtubs filled with water. (You get the picture!)

Ouarzazate Airport

The final challenge took place in an airport in Ouarzazate, a city known to locals as the 'Door of the Desert'.

Ouarzazate Airport normally handles around 5,500 passengers in March, when filming took place, but Prized Apart were given exclusive use of the terminal and runway, as well as access all areas passes.

By the end of this challenge, the complete distance travelled by our finalists was 1,433 miles.
