Getting married - the bride

Sam: We've basically been engaged for approximately a year and a half. One of the reasons was, so that we could have a long time to save up for the wedding, because we're paying for it ourselves.

But it has also allowed us to use that time to start doing little bits by little bits of preparation for the wedding as well.

We don't argue about what we want to plan.

Sometimes I'm really keen to get things sorted whereas Mel's quite relaxed, so sometimes I'll be trying to get something finished or finalised, and Mel's quite relaxed and doesn't understand why I'm getting a little bit worked up about it, but ultimately, Mel understands why I want to get things done, so it works out OK in the end.
