Moving house

John: We moved for quality of life reasons - we wanted to give our children - we have 3 children - a better quality of life, more freedom to play, to have more fresh air, to be outdoors more often.

Because we've got 3 children and we had been living in our London house for just over 10 years, as you can imagine, we had a huge number of belongings and awful lot of stuff, a vast array of junk items.

Old mirrors, old beds, huge numbers of empty pots of paint that were being kept for no apparent reason, old lawn mowers.

The very first thing we did when we moved into our new house was to do something very typically British, which was to have a nice cup of tea.
