Lesson 12
First day at work

Al: I wasn't too nervous yesterday. I was beginning to worry a little but it was really this morning, when I started to put the suit on and get ready to come into work, it started to make me a little bit more nervous.

I did have a bad experience with my photo for my staff identity card, 'cos I inadvertently shut my eyes when the flash went off and so they couldn't take another one, so it was a sort of one shot and that was it, and so I've got this hideous photo badge for the rest of my time at this firm.

You have to bring your own drinks in. They've got like a tea club where you provide tea bags and buy milk every now and again...

Unfortunately, I didn't know this when I came in this morning, so I haven't had a drink all day 'cos I didn't bring any tea bags or anything... So I was parched when I left work today.

Tomorrow I must remember to take my own mug in so I can have my drinks.
