Visiting Dad in America Well, I'm just at Heathrow airport. I'm checking in, because I'm on the way to LA. I'm really excited because this is the first time I'll have seen my Dad for a year, 'cos he lives in America. And there's a new addition to the family because his wife has just had a baby. So it's gonna be a great meeting and I'm really looking forward to it. She looked just like my Dad, it was like a mini version of my Dad. I could really see it in her eyes, actually. But she's lovely, she's gorgeous. I wish I'd had longer, actually, because when you first arrive at a place when you haven't seen people for a while, there's this... Even though it's your Dad, there is an element of formality and politeness, and... I felt as though I was just beginning to relax and feel as though I was part of the family and I had to go, and that's a bit sad. I think I probably needed a little bit longer. OBJAŚNIENIA to look forward to sth - oczekiwać z radością, cieszyć się na coś I wish I'd had longer - tu: szkoda, że nie mogłam zostać dłużej
