'Start your defence in di name of di almighty God' - Court give Nnamdi Kanu last chance

Di federal high court Abuja don give di leader of di Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, di last chance make e enta im defence for di terrorism charges wey di Nigeria govment sama am.
As di hearing come up on Tuesday, di trial judge James Omotosho start by narrating di summary of how di mata don go since 2015 wen e start.
Omotosho say e give di background so evribodi go know how far di mata don go and how e reach wia e dey now.
Afta dat, di judge call Nnamdi Kanu to start im defence.
Kanu stand up and insist, like im bin do for last hearing date, say e no get any valid charges against am.
E maintain say nobodi fit use any law wey no dey written down for any law book of di kontri to try anyone for di kontri.
E ask di court to tell am di law unda which dem dey try am bicos no law like dat dey exist.
"My lord you fail to consider a repealed law and dat one for imsef don scata dis trial," Kanu tok.
Kanu ask di court to dismiss him today bicos e no dey go bak to detention for crime wey no dey for any law for di kontri.
For im response, counsel to di federal govment Adegboyega Awomolo say all di ansas wey Kanu dey look for dey inside di charges wey e bin plead not guilty wen di trial bin dey start.
Awomolo also tell di court say Kanu bin serve dem wit one piece of paper wey e say na motion to support im argument say no valid charges dey against am.
E say di piece of paper dey useless bicos e no get stamp or signature.
However, Awomolo say dem don respond to all di 10 issues wey di defendant bin raise and e say di prosecution dey ask di court to adjourn for judgment.
Nnamdi Kanu stand up again and ask Awomolo to speak to di records of di court and read out di charges against am so day di court go determine weda such laws dey exist, and if dem no dey exist, di court suppose discharge am today.
Justice Omotosho say im go determine di motion wey Kanu file and di response by di prosecution for di final written address stage.
Di trial judge, again, call Kanu to enta im defence.
Kanu say e dey amazed and astonished say di court dey ask am to enta defence for mata wey no dey exist for law.
"I no fit go back to custody unless di court tell me di law unda which dem dey charge me," Kanu insist.
E quote section 36 (12) of di constitution wey tok say dem no fit convict pesin for offence wey di law no know.
But di judge remind am say di issue of conviction neva arise for dis stage of di trial but na for di final written address stage.
Justice Omotosho ask di defendant again, "in di name of Almighty God", to put in im defence or tell di court say imno wan call witnesses.
Di judge also tok say e dey important for somebodi to give oral testimony on oath about di issue of extraordinary rendition wey di defendant don dey claim since, bicos dem no fit raise am only by affidavit.
But Kanu kontinu to insist say di dey try to stampede am to enta defence. E start to dey raise im voice as e insist say e no dey go back to detention.
Govment lawyer Awomolo tell di judge make e stop acting like bishop and begging di defendant in di name of God.
E ask di court to adjourn for judgement.
