Kpop Demon Hunters wins two Oscars

Kpop Demon Hunters has proved its golden status yet again as it has won not one, but two Oscars.

The Oscars are seen as the biggest awards in the movie world and celebrate the best films from the last year.

So there is lots of competition in the film industry to get hold of the golden statue prizes.

The action packed musical hit won the awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for Golden.

We won't need to tell you mega fans out there, but Kpop Demon Hunters is a movie about a superstar girl group made up of singers who also happen to be demon hunters.

Rumi, Mira and Zoey are in the group called Huntr/x and use their music to protect fans from supernatural dangers.

But a rival band, the Saja Boys, is sent to shake things up - and they are demons in disguise.

If you think that sounds exciting you're not alone as the animation is now the most viewed movie of all time on the streaming platform Netflix.

In the movie the Kpop Demon Hunters might have had tough competition in battling the Saja Boys, but things weren't any easier as they fought it out in the Oscars.

Elio was also in the category for best animated feature - the Disney movie by Pixar which sees a young boy given the title of 'Leader of Earth' after being beamed up into space by aliens.

It also faced fierce competition from Zootopia 2 - a movie which has recently become the biggest Hollywood animated film of all time.

But it appears nothing can stop Huntr/x - well for now anyway, who knows what the newly announced sequel will bring.
