A 99-year-old woman has become the world's oldest wing walker.

Helga Duffy has just beaten the record set this year by 97-year-old Betty Bromage.

Helga says seeing Betty's achievement on the news encouraged her to have a go.

Wing walking is standing or walking on a plane while it is in flight.

While most people would find this terrifying, Helga says she was "I wasn't frightened because I was so excited."

Helga completed her wing walk at RFC Rendcomb Airfield in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

She was presented with a certificate by officials from Guinness World Records at the airfield.

She raised more than £1,300 for the Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance.

Sam Conway, from the air ambulance charity, called Helga a "legend".

"She looks as though she's had the time of her life," she added.

Betty - whose record Helga beat - sent this message:

"Congratulations, I hope you enjoyed it."

Adding: "I can't wait until I'm 100 and I can do it again, I'll beat you again,"
