Lots of people have been talking about Taylor Swift and this UK shopping centre

As one of the biggest pop stars on the planet, it's unlikely that you might spot Taylor Swift hanging out at your local shopping centre in the UK.

But that's exactly where she's filmed a large part of her latest music video for her single Opalite, which is currently sitting at number 1 in the UK Official Charts.

And Taylor isn't alone - many of your favourite artists have chosen different places across the UK to film music videos for their biggest songs.

So let's take a look at some of these iconic British music video locations below...

The Opalite music video features some huge stars descending on Croydon's The Whitgift Centre for a key scene.

There, they bump into Eurovision and chat show host Graham Norton, who plays a shop assistant trying to sell them more of the product.

Taylor had the idea after being a guest on Graham's show, and she wanted all the other guests to have roles in the music video too, including singer Lewis Capaldi - but you'll have to read on to find out more about him.

Olivia Dean has been making waves recently - and one of her early hits has lots of seaside roots.

Back in 2023, the music video for her breakout song Dive was filmed at the British seaside town of Hastings.

Writing on social media, Olivia said: "We wanted to film in the Caribbean but the budget said Hastings.

"But! I do think it captures the song so perfectly and even though the UK can be grey we make it work!"

It features former Doctor Who star Peter Capaldi - who's Lewis' second cousin once removed!

The music video's director told the local newspaper, the Buxton Advertiser that "Buxton's a beautiful town and everything is so close together which allowed us to capture so many shots."

Ed Sheeran shot the music video for his 2017 hit Castle on the Hill at the very place it's about.

Framlingham Castle is near where Ed grew up in Suffolk in England, and it features in the final scene when the singer and his friends look over the building in the distance.

After the song was released, English Heritage - who own the site - said that 100,000 more people visited Framlingham Castle compared to the previous year.
