I'm having lunch with my mother.

ఇందాక సంభాషణలోని అన్ని వాక్యల్లోనూ సమీప భవిష్యత్తులో ఏర్పాట్ల గురించి చెప్పారు. ఆ వాక్యాల నిర్మాణంలో ఏ కాలం ఉపయోగించారు? ప్రశ్న ఒకసారి మళ్లీ విందాం.

What are you doing tomorrow?

It's the present continuous – వర్తమానకాలం – 'what are you doing'. ఈ కాలాన్ని సమీప భవిష్యత్తులోని ప్లానులను సూచించడానికి ఉపయోగించొచ్చు.

OK, let’s quickly practise the pronunciation together! Notice that when we say "What are you doing tomorrow" we pronounce 'are' as 'uh' 'What are you doing tomorrow?" Repeat after me:

‘What are you doing tomorrow?'

‘What are you doing tomorrow?'

Great! మొదటి వ్యక్తి ఏం జవాబు చెప్పారో మళ్లీ విందాం.

ఇక్కడ 'am' అనే ‘to be’ form ను వాడుతున్నాం. ప్రధాన క్రియకు ‘ing’ జోడించాలి – 'having'.

OK, Let’s practise the pronunciation again. Notice how we say 'I am' as 'I'm'. Repeat after me:

‘I'm having lunch with my mother.'

Ok, ఈ వ్యక్తి కూడా 'I'm' వాడారు. ప్రధాన క్రియ 'going'. ఇక్కడ ‘as usual’ అంటే ఎప్పుడూ చేసే పని లేదా రోజూ చేసే పని అని సూచించడానికి వాడారు.

And let’s practise the pronunciation together. Notice how 'to' in 'going to work' sounds like 'tuh' Repeat after me:

And, we have one more. చివరి వ్యక్తి ఏం ఏర్పాట్లు చేసుకున్నారు?

I'm not doing anything. It's my day off.

ఆమె ‘not doing anything’ ఏమీ చెయ్యట్లేదు. అన్నారు. నెగటివ్ వాక్యం రాసేటప్పుడు ‘to be’ form తరువాత ‘not’ వాడాలి. గుర్తు పెట్టుకోండి. ఆమె ఒక మంచి expression వాడారు – 'it's my day off' అంటే ఈరోజు నాకు సెలవు అని అర్థం.

When you can say 'I'm not doing anything' remember that it's important to stress the 'not'. Repeat after me:

‘I'm not doing anything.'

‘I'm not doing anything.'
