आपल्याला काय आवडतं, आपल्याला कशात रुची म्हणजे intrest आहे याबद्दल सांगताना कुठले इंग्रजी शब्द वापरायचे ते आज शिकणार आहोत. चला ऐकू.

I'm interested in all types of art, but Ilike photography the most.

I'm very keen on sports! I really like anything with a ball.

I’m really into comics. Superhero comics are my favourite.

बरोबर, एकाला कलेमध्ये रुची आहे पण त्याला फोटो काढायला सर्वांत जास्त आवडतं. दुसरा म्हणतोय, बॉल असेल ते सगळं आवडतं. तर तिसरा म्हणतोय त्याला superhero comics खूप आवडतात.

But how do we know that these are the things they like?

आपल्या आवडीच्या गोष्टींबद्दल सांगताना त्यांनी वेगवेगळे शब्द वापरले. परत ऐकू या एकदा? म्हणजे नीट  समजेल तुम्हाला .

I like photography.
I really like anything with a ball.

Sam
Easy, right? They both used the verb 'like'! And you can change 'like', so you can say 'I really like' something to make it stronger, for example.

Now let's listen to speaker one again. What does he say before 'all types of art'?

I'm interested in all types of art.

काय वापरलंय यात? 'I'm interested in' आणि त्यानंतर पुढे म्हटलं art. I am interested in art.

Sam
Yes, 'interested' is an adjective, so we need to use the verb 'be' before it, and we use 'in' after it – always. Let's practise – repeat after me:

I'm interested in art. 

You're interested in sports.

He's interested in comics.

Thank you, Sam. नंतर आपण ऐकलं खेळ म्हणजे sports. 'sports' बद्दल काय म्हटलं त्याने? 

I'm very keen on sports!

तो काय म्हणाला 'keen on' म्हणजे खूप जास्त आवडणे, रस असणे. याचा समानार्थी शब्द आहे 'interested in', आणि हो, 'keen on' एकत्र वापरायचं.

I'm keen on art. 

You're keen on sports.  

He's keen on comics.

Hmm, आता be हे क्रियापद आपल्याला माहिती आहेच. 'Into' सोबत नेहमी be चं रूप येतं आणि त्यानंतर आपल्याला जे आवडतं त्याबद्दल आपण सांगतो. तुमचं म्हणणं ठासून सांगण्यासाठी intoच्या आधी 'really' किंवा 'very' ही वापरतात. पण हे थोडं informal आहे. हो ना सॅम?

Yes, it's used more when speaking. Let's practise the pronunciation. Repeat after me:

I'm into art.

You're really into sports.

He's very into comics.

आता तुम्हाला किती समजलंय ते तपासायची वेळ आलीये. तुम्हाला काय आवडतं? त्याचा विचार करा आणि 'interested' वापरून वाक्य तयार करा.
